Liberty Elite Volleyball Club and JVA: Expanding Volleyball Opportunities in Western Maryland

Liberty Elite Volleyball Club has been creating affordable, high-quality volleyball opportunities for athletes in Washington County, Maryland and the surrounding tri-state area since 2017.

Founded by Terri Pryor, Liberty Elite began with a mission to make volleyball more accessible while helping athletes develop confidence, character and strong fundamentals. The nonprofit club has since grown into a competitive program serving athletes from youth development through national-level travel teams.

Liberty Elite Volleyball Club is proud to be connected with Junior Volleyball Association (JVA), an organization dedicated to strengthening junior volleyball clubs and expanding opportunities for athletes, Coaches and families nationwide.

Accessible Training and Athlete Development

Liberty Elite is focused on giving athletes the opportunity to grow regardless of where they begin.

The club provides training for athletes ranging from beginners to players preparing for collegiate volleyball, with Coaches who bring experience as former college athletes, high school Coaches and collegiate Coaches. Liberty Elite also operates its own three-court facility in Hagerstown, allowing the club to provide year-round clinics, practices, open gyms and additional instruction.

Through JVA Membership, Club Directors and Coaches can access educational resources, industry information, professional development, partner benefits and tools designed specifically for junior volleyball organizations.

These resources help clubs strengthen their programs while giving Coaches additional support to create positive and effective development environments.

Volleyball Tournaments and Competitive Opportunities

Competition helps athletes test their skills, gain confidence and continue progressing against strong opponents.

JVA Tournaments provide boys, girls and beach volleyball teams with access to events across the United States, including national tournaments, power leagues, Challenge Series events and member-hosted competitions.

Liberty Elite offers travel teams from U12 through U18, with athletes placed on National or Red level teams based on skill, athleticism, work ethic, coachability and overall potential.

These competitive pathways give athletes opportunities to develop through meaningful match experience while pursuing higher levels of the sport.

Education for Coaches and Club Leaders

Strong athlete development depends on knowledgeable Coaches and organized club leadership.

The JVA Education Library provides volleyball-specific resources covering coaching, player development, recruiting, mental performance, leadership, club operations, business management and more.

Club Directors and Coaches can use these resources to continue learning, strengthen their programs and create better training environments for athletes.

JVA also recognizes athletes, clubs and volleyball leaders through the JVA Awards Program.

Recognition opportunities include JVA Watch Lists, All-National Teams, the AthLeader Award, Club of the Month and additional honors celebrating performance, leadership and achievement throughout junior volleyball.

Liberty Elite athletes have also been represented on JVA Watch Lists, creating additional opportunities for national recognition.

Programs That Support Junior Volleyball

JVA offers several programs designed to strengthen clubs and support the people helping volleyball grow.

The JVA Sponsor Program gives participating clubs an opportunity to help increase awareness of JVA and connect more athletes, families and volleyball professionals with national resources.

The JVA Grant Program provides eligible member organizations with opportunities to receive financial support for projects and initiatives that can improve or expand junior volleyball programming.

Through the JVA Mentor Program, volleyball professionals can connect with experienced Club Directors and industry leaders who can provide guidance, insight and practical knowledge.

Officials are also essential to quality competition, and the JVA Official Rewards Program provides recognition and support for officials working within junior volleyball.

Insurance for Junior Volleyball Organizations

JVA members can access JVA Insurance options designed for volleyball clubs, tournaments, camps, leagues and related programming.

These resources give Club Directors access to insurance options developed with the specific needs of junior volleyball organizations in mind.
